A New Scene at Scene Living Interiors

Scene Living Interiors of Sunninghill re-opened their High Street showroom last month following substantial refurbishment, reflecting a new scene in furniture craftsmanship, for the successful Berkshire interior design company.

Builders moved in at the beginning of February to create a new luxury showroom, which has been designed to flaunt Scene Living’s very own brand new range of bespoke furniture from Portugal. Casa Porto is an exquisite new furnishing concept that Scene Living is now tremendously proud to offer their clients. With a huge range of finishes, any design can be made to clients’ bespoke requirements, from a single stand-alone console to an entire kitchen!

Literally any piece of furniture can be made from any wood veneer in a vast selection of colours including silver leaf or even a lacquered finish. The console tables and dining table in the showroom have been finished in maple walnut with steel feet. Keeping up to date with media savvy home Scene Living have installed a fabulous stylish TV fitment unit to house an array of modern digital technology. Again this can be made to any size or design. The versatility of Casa Porto ensures a design theme can flow through any part of the home or office.

The showroom now encompasses individual room layouts to give customers a visual experience of what can be achieved in their own homes and in addition, now boasts a stylish and relaxing consultation area. Remaining fiercely proud of their expertise in soft furnishings Scene Living continues to retain it’s reputation for designing and making exceptional quality window dressings. They have extended their range to incorporate some of the most highly regarded designers, who continue to astound with spectacular new patterns season after season.

Of course the backdrop for any room in a home, and indeed the showroom, requires just the right wall covering, and yet again Scene living never fail to impress with their stunning range of luxury wallpapers. For the showroom they have chosen from the masters in their field, Brian Yates.

The showroom shouts Italian splendour, with the finest quality leather sofas and chairs, available in a wonderful selection of colours, set off marvelously with vibrant scatter cushions from the René Gruar Runway collection. But what stands out as a statement piece has to be the printed cotton wing back chair from the same collection. To complete the look and feel, bringing everything together, carefully selected accessories from around the world take pride of place in the showroom, which also make thoughtful gifts.

In sub-Saharan Africa, an interesting relationship takes place hippos and oxpecker birds (honestly, bear with me on this one). The hippo needs help with the ticks and parasites that live on its skin and the oxpeckers help out by picking off the parasites and eating them. The oxpeckers get what they want – a tasty meal. And the hippo gets cleaner, healthier skin. It’s a win-win situation. It's impossible to say whether either species values the other—but each undoubtedly plays a vital role in the other's wellbeing. This example of mutualism often comes to mind when people talk about the relationship between journalists and PRs. It’s a case of mutuality, without question, but there’s often a simmering animosity between the two. To generate truly effective PR you need to understand the needs of both sides. And that’s where Flourish excels.

Let’s be honest - emojis aren’t just for group chats and Instagram captions anymore. Whether it’s a quick thumbs-up in a Teams chat or a cheeky smile in an email, those tiny icons have found their way into our professional lives. And depending on who you ask, that’s either a welcome shift towards more human connection… or a slippery slope into an unprofessional territory. We live in a world where so much of our communication happens through screens which means our tone of voice can get lost in translation. Emojis offer a way to soften messages, add personality, and make digital interactions feel just a little more, well, human. But here’s the big question: do emojis actually enhance professional communication, or do they risk making us seem less serious, less credible, or even less competent? In this blog, Flourish are diving into both sides of the emoji-in-business debate: the benefits, the backlash, and everything in between. Because love them or hate them, emojis are not going anywhere, and it is probably time we figure out how (and when) to use them wisely.

Since 2013, Flourish PR has been helping companies and individuals amplify their visibility through expertly crafted public relations strategies, compelling press releases, and perhaps most crucially in today's climate healthy backlinks. As SEO becomes increasingly competitive, it's easy for even established brands to fall behind in search rankings. While algorithm updates and AI-driven search continue to shift the digital landscape, one thing remains clear: quality backlinks and credible media coverage are still among the most effective tools for sustainable SEO growth. While sharing the knowledge below, we still maintain the importance of having a professional agency with extensive industry experience.
